Tutorial 2 - The Use of t-tests of Significance

This video tutorial describes how to implement a t-test to assess whether a variable is statistically different from zero.  It is applied in the context of a regression analysis.  Initially, the t-test formula is explained and then a worked example is outlined.
An important element of implementing a t-test is to obtain the t-critical values for use in the test.  These critical values are obtained from a t-distribution (which approaches the normal distribution as n → ∞).  The below tutorial shows how to obtain the t-critical value from the t-distribution table.
