I am a Lecturer in Economics in the School of Economics in University College Cork, Ireland.  I currently teach on BA(Arts), MBS(Business Information Systems) and MA(Economics) programs.  The areas in which I teach are Economic Interpretation, Innovation, Competitiveness and Economic Growth and Econometrics.  I also supervise masters dissertations on the MA(Economics) program.

My research interests lie in the area of business innovation, firm performance, macroeconomics and applied econometrics.  I am an active member of the Regional Science Association International (British and Irish Section), the Regional Studies Association and the Danish Research Unit on Industrial Development (DRUID).  I regularly present my research at conferences organised by these societies as well as a number of other national and international events.  I have published my research in the journal Spatial Economic Analysis.
