This website is designed to provide information on my current research and teaching as well as access to various educational and research support material. It is my personal website. I am a Lecturer in Economics in the School of Economics in University College Cork, Ireland. My research interests lie in the area of regional economics, resilience, macroeconomics, applied econometrics, business innovation and firm performance. I am an active member of the Regional Science Association International - British and Irish Section, the Regional Studies Association and the Danish Research Unit on Industrial Development (DRUID). I regularly present my research at conferences organised by these societies as well as a number of other national and international events. I have published my research in the journals Papers in Regional Science, Spatial Economic Analysis, Entrepreneurship and Regional Development and Industry and Innovation among others. I was elected to the Committee of the Regional Science Association International - British and Irish Section in August 2012 and the Committee of the Regional Studies Association - Irish Branch in April 2013. I was one of the local organisers for the Irish Society of New Economists 9th annual conference which was held in University College Cork on the 23rd and 24th of August 2012. I also co-organised a one day conference on Regional Economic Resilience which was held in Cork City Hall on the 22nd of February 2013. I was also on the organising committee for the RSAI-BIS 42nd annual conference which was held in Sidney Sussex College at the University of Cambridge on the 20th to the 22nd of August. I am currently an editor for the Munich Personal RePEc Archive (MPRA) which is an initiative by economists of the RePEc network from different countries and runs under the responsibility of the Munich University Library which is part of the University of Munich.
I currently teach on BA(Arts), MBS(Business Information Systems), MA(Economics) and Masters in Economic Science programs. The areas in which I teach are Macroeconomics, Research Methods and Econometrics. I also supervise masters dissertations on the MA(Economics) program.

In the teaching tab you will find details of the modules I currently teach and the modules I have previously taught. Under the Teaching Resources tab you will find tutorials I have designed to complement my teaching activities. Under the blog heading you will find my blog which is updated on a weekly basis.
